The medicinal plants have maintained their prestige since the oldest times, having even today an inexhaustible therapeutic potential. The knowledge about the use of plants in the treatment of some diseases seems to be at least of the same age as those about plants in general. (1)
The purpose of the paper is the evaluation of the therapeutic, anti-inflammatory and anti-septic effects of the type Extrasol solution of Mellissae folium, with the popular name of aloysia, the grass of the thralls, or the sweet basil of the beehive, hydro-alcoholic extract realized after an original method in collaboration with the Department of Pharmacognosia – UMF Iasi.
