PRIMARY HERPETIC GINGIVOSTOMATITIS TO CHILDREN AND YOUNG

Abstract:

Primary herpetic gingivostomatitis is a vesicular lesion of the oral cavity which is easily transmitted when it enters in direct contact with mucosa or skin. The number of lesions or the degree of discomfort varies from child to child. Among all infectious diseases of childhood, the rate of HSV-1 i s i ncreased i n y oung c hildren w ho g o t o medical care centers. Most cases of primary herpetic
gingivostomatitis are diagnosed on the bases of clinical symptoms. The antiviral therapy with systemic Acyclovir is recommended in the treatment of primary herpetic gingivostomatitis. The medical care for pain and fever takes part in the management of the process.
