The premature loss of the primary molars is a potential risk factor for the integrity of the dental and alveolar arch, with a three-dimensional impact: dental, dental-alveolar and maxillary. This study is designed to assess the prevalence of the premature loss of the deciduous molars in the age period of 6-10 years. The study group was comprised of 296 children, 142 boys and 154 girls. We found a 25.33% prevalence of the premature loss of the primary molars, without a statistically significant difference between the sexes. The lower primary molars were the teeth that were missing most frequently at the level of the dental arch.
