The present study reviews the current scientific literature regarding the CAD/CAM technology for fabricating complete dentures. An electronic search was conducted for relevant articles, using PubMed database and Web of Science database, followed by manual search, with the following association of terms: (cad cam, complete denture) then (subtractive manufacturing, complete denture). The study included articles published between 01.01.2006 and 31.12.2016. A table especially designed for this review provided information on the accuracy, retention and stability, aesthetics and overall denture satisfaction. The CAD/CAM process offers significant advantages both to the dental practitioner and patient.
