Abstract:

CPQ8-10, as part of Child Oral Health Related Quality of Life (COHRQoL), is a self-reported questionnaire for children aged between 8-10 years, frequently used in oral health surveys around the world. The Romanian version of CPQ8-10 has not been published yet. The aim of the present study was to optimize the assessment of child’s oro-dental health by taking into consideration its impact on the quality of life. The objectives of this study were: (1) to translate the English version of CPQ8-10 into Romanian, (2) to adapt the questionnaire to the specifics of the Romanian culture, and (3) to evaluate its comprehensibility by a preliminary qualitative study. Pre-test results showed that the Romanian version of CPQ8-10 is a valid instrument to assess COHRQoL.
