Pregnancy is an important and stressful part of a woman’s life. An increased number of adult patients are now receiving orthodontic treatment and there are no known contraindications on why a healthy pregnant woman cannot start orthodontic treatment. With good communication between the healthcare workers and the patient, a suitable treatment plan can be made. This review article focuses on the dental changes that occur during pregnancy, orthodontic treatment plan, oral hygiene maintenance during orthodontic treatment, orthodontic considerations and management, and role of the professional and patient during the treatment.
