Abstract:

In Romania, individual health, the rights and medical  data protection, as well as the relations with healthcare professionals were protected by three laws – Law no. 95/2006 on health reform, Law no. 46 /2003, with subsequent amendments and completions, and the actual Law no. 190/2018 on measures to implement Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and Council on the protection of personal data. This article discusses these aspects and their consequences, which might impact the activity of healthcare providers.
