Transparent digital aligners therapy began in 1999. Aligner can be generated either analogously or digitally.The analogously-generated CAT aligners involve a set up
model modified by the technician before thermoforming the aligner, while the digitally-generated CAT aligners involve a 3D scan of the dento-alveolar arch which allows
the model to regenerate and to correct crowding. Invisalign is manufactured by Align Technology, a multinational medical device Company in San Jose, California. The
system has been used to treat more than 3 million patients. We will present the workflow of an Invisalign treatment for one patient and emphasize the orthodontic tools offered by this technique.
