Abstract:

The stomatologist profession induces, over long run, modifications of the backbone, caused by the position on the chair. The degenerative diseases of the vertebral column represent a current issue, manifested extensively in all social domains. The present study identified, applied and adapted the most correct, safe and efficient strategy of treating musculoskeletal disorders, on considering the conditions related to patients. Comparatively with other professions, stomatologists register a higher incidence of musculoskeletal pain caused by their work (MSK). Such pain, induced by musculoskeletal disorders, has an enormous impact, altering and restricting a large range of activities. Our study evidences the importance of the utilization of physical agents and of comparative procedures for both therapeutical and prophylactic purposes.
