PATIENT- STOMATOLOGIST RELATION WITHIN THE PANDEMIC CONTEXT

Abstract:

The actual pandemic COVID-19 context has a special bio-psycho-social impact on a patient with oral pathology, inducing psychological anxiety and vulnerability. The fear of preserving one’s personal safety explains the hostility and even repulsion for any medical action. The present paper aims at analyzing the psychological impact suffered by the patient when faced with his stomatologist during the COVID-19 pandemic, by the questionnaire method, followed by evaluation of patient’s behaviour once entered the stomatological office.COVID-19 pandemic has negatively impacted the whole world population, at both national and international level. In this respect, the present paper aims at evidencing this all-embracing impact, while also analyzing patient’s position vs the stomatologist.
