Abstract:

The article presents the result of a comparative microbiological study on the oral fluid in persons with periodontal diseases and chronic tonsillitis, and without concomitant pathology. The inflammatory process in periodontium opens the way to infection not only of oral cavity tissues, but also of the pharynx. The objective was to study microbial pathogens in the oral fluid of patients with periodontal diseases and chronic tonsillitis, vs those without tonsillitis. The clinical study was conducted on 97 subjects, divided into three groups. It was noted that, in persons with periodontal diseases and chronic tonsillitis, the imbalance of the microbiological spectrum of the oral fluid, caused by the growth of aerobic and anaerobic microflora, was characterized by more pronounced negative trends. An increase in the microbial population of the oral fluid with aerobic and anaerobic microflora was determined, in relation to the data in control group.
