Introduction. Scarring of the maxillo-facial area skin from acne vulgaris, burns, surgery, and injury constitutes a major burden on the healthcare system, due to its high prevalence, significant impact on quality of life, and therapeutic challenge for maxillo-facial surgeons. The study presents the results of facial skin scarring treatment in patients from the Dental Medical Centre of ”Bogomolets” National Medical University. The obtained data allowed prospects for improving the provision of medical care to this group of patients. Materials and methods. The study presents the results of a facial skin scarring treatment with auto-crosslinked polymer (ACP) gels of hyaluronic acid in 14 patients (n=14), female – 12, male – 2, with the average age 28.43 ± 11.03 years. Scarring, pigmentation, skin deformations, skin changes were analyzed. Results and discussion. Immediate and long-term clinical effects included reduced atrophic scar depth; improved facial skin texture, tone and elasticity, and normalization of sebaceous gland secretion. Conclusions. The effectiveness and safety of auto-crosslinked hyaluronic acid (ACP) in the treatment of facial skin scarring were evaluated.
