Currently, technological advancements are facilitating the evolution of dentistry. As a result, tridimensional (3D) printing technologies make it easier to create fixed or removable dentures, orthodontic appliances, and personalized surgical templates. In this respect, patients can benefit from personalized dental care tailored to their specific clinical needs. The first limits of using 3D printing technology were production materials, production time, and implementation costs, however these have now been reduced. 3D printing technologies with potential applications in dentistry constitute a setting of medical procedure improvement that benefits both doctors and patients.
